Future Plans

One of the first improvements will be the ability to view summary information about schools, and the ability to compare schools that you are interested in side-by-side. You will even be able to input some of your requirements for a school and the best matches will be shown to you.

One of the primary goals of the site is to build a strong user community-- currently those interested in the Chinese martial arts typically visit message boards or websites that are dedicated to ALL martial arts, which makes it difficult to find information that is of interest to them. To build this community, functions such as user-uploaded photos, comments, reviews, articles, and a message board are a must.

One of the biggest challenges we are hoping to be able to overcome with this site is language barriers-- there are thousands of wushu publications in Chinese available, but a small fraction of this information is available to people who cannot read Chinese. Translating into English is our first priority, but we will also be heading towards a multi-language site, including Chinese, English, French, Spanish, and German. If you have martial arts experience and are capable of translating from English to one of these languages and are willing to help, please feel free to contact us!

Farther down the road we will be offering travel services, and an online store which will sell related items direct from Chinese manufacturers.
