Martial Arts Muscle Building

Martial arts is by far is on of the best ways to build muscle and burn fat. This is the goal of many workout programs and what many drugs claim to do for those who use them as part of their workout. Martial arts like Chinese Wushu (Kung Fu) do not let you neglect one area because you use all areas of muscle in your workouts. Physical training is part of every martial arts program. Constantly drilling moves, push-ups, and time spent hitting the heavy bag are just some of the exercises that will build strength for a martial artist. Of course weight training, cardio vascular training, and diet should not be neglected. There is no magic pill that will give you the results you want and even with martial arts it will take time to get into shape. Martial art has always been considered to give you an edge in a fight why not in your fitness? A gym workout can get repetitive while Chinese Wushu always presents new challenges physically and mentally. Like Shangpan of Wushu will build up your upper body and like wrestling it will build your strength and flexibility. The intense workouts will build up endurance. All this will lead to improved martial arts skills and improved strength and health. Martial arts have always instilled discipline and discipline is necessary for success in fitness. Having something that kept your interest is how martial arts surpass other types of fitness workouts. In Judo unlike many other sports coaches continue to compete themselves in events long after most athletes are no longer able to compete. That says something considering Judo is a full contact sport. This is largely thanks to injury prevention through building up muscle.

Though weight training and running are very important to building a strong healthy body martial arts is a good balance of the two workouts. Performing martial arts is an intense cardio vascular workout in preparation for a match or combat survival. Being to out last an opponent is invaluable in either situation and can make the difference between not just winning and losing but getting hurt. Physical training like pushups and sit-ups done along with other exercise in martial arts will build strength will be there when you need it to prevail in a match. The important think is to say with your martial arts muscle building. Muscle is denser then fat and it may take time before you see results of your hard work. Don’t give up keep working out and training at the dojo. There are other ways to workout without even thinking about it throughout your day. Walk to your morning train instead of driving. Have to go to another floor at your job take the stairs. Little changes like those don’t seem like much but over time they will have positive effects. If you do a lot of heavy lifting in your job you hardly want to spend more time lifting weights on your down time and probably don’t need to but there other areas that may need work. You may be the strongest person on the job site but you may still be well served by a regular run. Work with your trainer and your sensei and consult your doctor to make a plan.

Another way to speed up results you may want to make changes to your diet. This doesn’t mean eating only rice and drinking water. Instead of large meals have more smaller healthier meals and cut down the amount of alcohol you consume. Drink diet soda instead of regular soda and start drinking more water. Try to add fruits and vegetables to your regular meals. If you have ice cream every night don’t give up desert all at once you’ll end up miserable and soon be eating desert again every night. Instead try cutting it down to six nights a week. Keep your word and slowly cut back at your own pace. Sleep is another factor people neglect because they don’t realize how important it is to good health. Get enough rest every night and you will notice your energy levels go up and workouts won’t seem as long. You will have your morning cup of coffee because you want it not because you need it everyday. To build muscle you need good exercise and good fuel. Along with exec rise these small changes will benefit you greatly
